Cali's Goings-On

Kitty is feeling much better now, new food, and twice daily doses of Antibiotics and Valium seem to be helping. I am leaving for work in the morning, and will be gone for a few days, so Uncle Dupes and Auntie Vikki have been nice enough to make space in their home for her to stay. Until next time, Working hard in Clyde, AB. Take care,
Drew.

An Update for the Interested

So, a couple of days have passed, and I feel it is time to write again, in order to keep your attention. Still waiting to leave for work out of town, but am having enough to deal with here at home for the moment. Cali (Kitty) seems to have developed a bladder or urinary tract infection, so I balanced the night between watching 'The Last Samurai" (Great movie even with Tom Cruise (I was skeptical)), and checking to see if she peed in the litter box I filled with little non-absorbent plastic pellets at the vet's request so that I could get a urine sample. I hope that she will be OK, she seems OK, but suddenly started peeing on the couch, my bed, and right beside my laptop, which is definitely NOT OK. So i have the cat pee in a syringe in my fridge next to the eggs and my last can of Lucky, and am sure the vet will be excited to recieve it in the morning. Other than that, I would like to say Hi to all the folks who have taken the time to check up on this blog, and to let you know that a digital camera (or at least a power cord for my scanner) is in the works so that I can post some pics for y'all to see. Until next time, take care of yerselves,
Drew.

Arrogant Enough To Believe...

So there I was. Arrogant enough to believe that the miscellaneous ramblings that rattle about in my noggin were of any interest to anyone else. Guess I was right, though... you are reading this crap (of course probably just to placate me or because you followed a link that I emailed you).
Blog. Sounds so exciting. Like a receptacle for all the loose snot flying around the net that hasn't already ended up in my email inbox. Those fine people sure didn't know what they were getting into when they let me set up a blog page. I hope they weren't hoping that my wonderful speling and gramer skills would be enough to attract enough intellectual traffic to boost their advertising income or start a new wildfire of traffic throughout the internet community.

Well that proves it. Apparently the most interesting 'sentence' so far was written accidentally by the rear paw of my illiterate kitty who has become quite bored sitting next to me while I sharpen my wit and spew drivel onto this page. Maybe I should have her add a little to each of my entries here in order to keep your attention. I'll leave it up to her.
At the moment, I am wasting away at home waiting for "the call" to go to work in some godforsaken non-town far far away for an undetermined amount of time. Yee-Ha. I do enjoy my job, though, it's just that I would much rather be on holidays with Kate, who at the moment is 1300km away chillin' with our families and friends. BUT.... I must remind myself that the more time I am willing to spend in these aforementioned faraway places working, the sooner I will be able to pack Kate and Kitty into the truck and hit the road to move back there. Whine whine whine. As soon as I start thinking about Vancouver Island, I apparently tend to forget all the benefits of living in the great City of Champignons. It is a great city, Edmonton, especially this time of year, with all the festivals, patios, and what-not going on. In fact, I think I'll take off and check out the Fringe Festival tonight. Kitty will be here to answer your calls. Take Care,
Drew.
